Take a scenic flight for your enjoyment, choose from a coastal flight or a mountain viewing flight, we have a number of options for you to choose from, better yet, let us know if you have a special request, we aim to please!
Option 1 – Tell us what you want to see, and we’ll be happy to make it happen!
Option 2 – Jump into the aircraft and taxi out, accelerating to take off speed before departing the airfield southbound, check out the amazing coastal scenery of Boambee Beach with the hamlet of Sawtell and beauty of its headland and creeks off the nose of the aircraft. Passing sawtell you’ll see in the distance South West Rocks, site of the old convict Jaol, while passing over the Bongil Bongil National Park and Tuckers Rock. Before turning back you will see the township of Urunga where the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers meet before flowing into the ocean, forming a unique and beautiful sand bar and protected river system. Keep a look out for dolphins and the odd passing whale!
Option 3 - Get strapped in before engine start and departure northbound, from here you will see beautiful Coffs Harbour and its famous jetty. Look down over Muttunbird Island and on to the famous beaches of Diggers, Korora and Sapphire. We continue on over the beautiful Moonee Creek estuary habitat and on to the town of Woolgoolga with its famous Seikh temple, aptly named ‘Whale watch’ headland and beaches, following the spectacular coastline as our guide. Before turning back we will see main beach and Hearnes lake just north of the town.
Option 4 - After your pre flight briefing we taxi out before take off and head direct to the remote, South Solitary Island and its beautiful cottages and of course, stunning lighthouse. As the pristine beaches and marina pass underneath you, you will be captivated by the panoramic view of the ocean and the Solitary Islands. After reaching the island we will circle for a great photo opportunity! The abandoned cottages, derelict gantry (for taking on supplies the old way), and stunning lighthouse will be in perfect viewing range. Next we will head back to the coast and Woolgoolga, checking for whales and wildlife as we go. Once back over dry land we head inland to the historic town of Glenreagh and its scenic hinterland backdrop before our final leg back to the airfield viewing mountains and valleys as we go.
